Correct diagnosis is the first step in managing and treating Atrial Fibrillation (AFib), syncope, and other heart problems. Your physician may order an in-home heart monitoring test with or without video EEG depending on the nature of your symptoms. All of Stratus’ heart monitoring devices are lightweight and easy to use. Your physician has ordered this test to help diagnose you properly so it’s important to always wear the heart monitor.

Stratus is a nationwide leader in in-home neurodiagnostic testing. We use state-of-the-art technology and have a team of certified technologists that review your test data. Once the study ends, your doctor receives an all-inclusive report to assist with appropriate diagnosis and treatment.
What to Expect
To get started, you and your physician will determine the appropriate testing length and conditions. Some tests may be conducted simultaneously with an at-home EEG test. If this is the case, the home technician will set up the ECG device as well. If your ECG test is separate, Stratus will mail the equipment to your home pre-activated and connected to cellular data—with no additional configuration needed.
Note – Stratus uses devices from a device manufacturer called Biotricity and you will see co-branding from both companies on the instructions.
Simply follow the instructions and wear the heart monitor as you go about your day. Once you connect the electrodes, you can place the device in your pocket or clip it to your clothing. Because it is straightforward to remove, you can easily shower and bathe, then reattach the monitoring device after drying off.
Should you have questions, patient support is available 24/7. When your test is completed, you simply disconnect the device and send it back to Stratus with the included prepaid shipping label. Final results are delivered to your physician within 3–5 days.
