Convenient At Home EEG Testing

Crucial diagnostic testing should integrate seamlessly into your life, not disrupt it. Stratus brings state-of the-art video EEG (VEEG) testing directly to the comfort and familiarity of your own home, so you can forget long trips to the hospital or sacrificing multiple days for an inpatient visit.

Our trained technicians come to your home to set up the test and provide assistance during the study period when needed. Symptoms are most likely to occur in your natural home environment, which means your doctor receives high-quality data comparable to a hospital-based study for your diagnosis and treatment.1

Stratus’ average patient satisfaction rating is 4.7 out 5 stars!

What is a VEEG Test?

A video electroencephalogram (VEEG) is a painless test that closely monitors your brain activity. With this test, doctors can detect seizures, epilepsy, or other conditions that mimic seizures. During the test, you wear 21 small disks (called leads or electrodes) on your scalp. Each disk attaches to a thin wire that connects to an amplifier, a small device worn during the test, to read your brain’s signals and collect the data.

During video EEG testing, a camera is also used to create an audio-video recording of your body movements. Your doctor uses the audio and video along with the EEG data to better understand if your brain activity is normal or if you might be having seizures.

Why a VEEG Is Performed?

Doctors use EEGs to diagnose conditions such as seizure disorders and epilepsy. A video EEG test supplements brainwave data with video monitoring, so your doctor gets critical information on how your body movements may match your brain activity.

Why Your Doctor Ordered an EEG with Video?

Your doctor needs both the video and EEG data to learn more about your events or spells, how often they occur, and determine the best way to treat them. By capturing all of this in your natural environment, your doctor can learn more about how often these events occur, what triggers them, and ultimately determine the most effective treatment plan tailored specifically for you.

Rest assured, your personal health information is handled with the utmost confidentiality and security.
