Stratus’ Chief Medical Officer Recognized for His Contributions in the Epilepsy Field
Jeremy Slater, M.D. recognized as a Fellow by the American Epilepsy Society and the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society.
IRVING, TX (February 1, 2022) – Stratus, the nation’s leading provider of EEG services, is proud to announce that its Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Jeremy Slater, MD, FAAN, FAES, FACNS, has been designated as a Fellow of the American Epilepsy Society (AES) and has been awarded Fellow Member status with the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society (ACNS). Dr. Slater oversees Stratus’ delivery of clinical care and quality initiatives, as well as heads the company’s MERLN division.
Dr. Slater has devoted his career to advancing the field of epilepsy, including providing more than 27 years of clinical care for patients with seizures. His accomplishments include being the former Director of the Texas Comprehensive Epilepsy Program in Houston, Texas and being one of the lead clinical investigators for vagal nerve stimulation (VNS) therapy. Recognition as an AES Fellow acknowledges a physician’s professional accomplishments and dedication in the field of epilepsy. It is a way that AES members recognize peers who have made especially meaningful contributions through research, clinical or academic achievement, volunteerism, and/or leadership. ACNS Fellow status acknowledges a strong commitment to the Society and the field of Clinical Neurophysiology, demonstrated by loyal membership as well as frequent active participation in Society meetings.
